How to Prepare for a Kinesiologist After a Car Crash
What to wear, bring, and expect at your first kinesiology / active rehab visit after an ICBC car accident in Metro Vancouver.
Your first session with a kinesiologist after a car crash should feel clear, not intimidating. Here is how to show up ready.
What to wear
Gym clothes you can move in — runners or training shoes, shorts or leggings, and a top that allows shoulder movement. We train inside Club16, so dress like you are going to exercise.
What to bring
- Your ICBC claim number (if you have one)
- A list of current symptoms and movements that bother you
- Any clearance notes from a physician or physio
- Water bottle
What happens in the first visit
- Conversation about the crash, your goals, and daily demands
- Movement screen and baseline measures
- A starter plan you can begin safely
- Next-session booking and paperwork support when needed
You will not be thrown into max-effort lifts on day one. Progressive loading is the point.
How to get more from every session
- Be honest about pain during and after sessions
- Do the between-session homework when assigned
- Tell us about work or sport deadlines early
